The Annual Survey of Consultants and Their Clients

Part 1 - The Customer Survey
The Consulting Survey evolved from the early research conducted by Consulting Intelligence to build its two primary service offerings, the ConsultelligentSM Knowledge Transfer Method and the ConsultelligenceSM Knowledgebase.

Part 1 of the survey gathers information on the experiences individuals and organizations have had with consultants.  This part will document key elements of client satisfaction, the perceived benefits – and risks – associated with engaging external consultants and the specific qualities that are considered most important when evaluating a new consultant.

For 2007, survey invitations were sent out in March to individuals at organizations that had used external consultants.  The online survey was open for input through April 16.  Participants who completed the survey were offered a summary of the survey results prior to their official release date.

Results of Part 1 of The Consulting Survey will be announced at ConsultingWorldTM: Grande Conference of the Americas.  The conference – aimed at members of the consulting profession and the organizations that engage them – is co-sponsored by the American Management Association and the Institute of Management Consultants USA and will be held in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on June 24-26, 2007.
